Enjoying Life One Day At A Time
I designed this website to help women live life to the fullest. I developed osteoarthrosis 25 years ago, and, in that time, I have educated myself on the best way to manage chronic pain, and how to lead an active life.
Now I want to share that information with you. It is difficult to be in pain a good part of the day, and I have a herniated disc, which means that I am not completely comfortable sitting or standing for too long, so I have to alternate between them.
It seems like I have tried every pain remedy under the sun, including prescription medication, creams,TENS, splints, physical therapy, cortisone injections, pain patches, back exercises, hypnosis, and attending a pain clinic.
Exercise has always played a big part in my life, but now that I am in my late 60’s, my joints are often too sore to ride my stationary bike, or even take a long walk.
Of course, painkillers are a necessity, but I have also experienced so much pain relief from hypnosis.
Hypnosis gets a bad rap, as people think it is mind control, so they are afraid to try it. I understand, I was the same way at first, but once I started seeing a reduction in my pain levels, I became a believer.
I have had some physical setbacks recently. I had some scans taken not too long ago, and my arthritis is getting worse. So, now I need to work even harder to keep the pain at bay, so I can still lead an active life.
I love to hear from my readers so feel free to share what has worked for your arthritis pain, or any questions that you have.
